University can really suck any and all creativity can't it? I'm not on a course that encourages the creation of stories, poems and art work, they don't actively discourage it but I think they'd prefer my essays not to be in iambic pentameter or comic format. I'm in my third year and that pretty much means I spend 90% of my time writing notes, reading articles, planning essays, writing essay, getting feedback, whining at my dissertation tutor, reading more articles, writing more notes, attending classes, planning more essays...I could go on forever but I think you get the point.
I have managed to get some writing done, quarter finished work that really needs me to pay attention to it I just don't have the time. I should feel sorry for it but I don't have the time for that either.
In half a year I finish uni and then we'll see what happens from there. I am hoping to go on to a Masters in Ancient History I just need to get a 2:1 and the funding, it would be somewhat devastating if I got onto the course but then didn't get the much needed funding. Which reminds me I need to finish my application form for the Masters...they won't let me on if I don't apply.
